Love this LotionI've been using Essential Elements lotion for over 10 years. It is moisturizing and does not contain a lot of the harmful ingredients that other lotions may contain. Buying it by the gallon makes it extremely affordable. Rosemary mint is the best fragrance

Less satisfiedThe quality of this product has declined over the last 2 years. It used to be richer in texture. Was the formula altered ?

Unbelievable lotionI have been using Essentiel Elements since 2000 when production was in San Francisco. I lived in Sonoma County at the time. I have used the lotions since that time and can happily state the quality is as wonderful as ever!

Doesn't smell the same as hospitality sized bottleI recently stayed at an inn which carried the Gilchrist and Soames Essential Elements line of hospitality products in their cottages.
It was my first experience with the Rosemary Mint scent, and I absolutely loved the way it quickly absorbed and luxuriously softened the skin without ever feeling greasy.
I brought the small bottle home, and went directly to the website to purchase a gallon sized bottle... as I believed I had found a body lotion I could use 24/7.
When I received the gallon jug, I was disappointed to find that the scent and viscosity was not the same as that in the small, hospitality bottle. The gallon sized product has more of a chemical scent, and is heavier than the product in the smaller bottle.
I still had some of the original product left in the small bottle from the inn, and I compared them side by side. Definitely not the same experience... in either fragrance or feel.
That said, it is still a good product, and I will be using it.
I also understand that like any product -- not unlike cooking or baking -- results can differ between batches, especially when being produced in large quantities.
I am just a bit disappointed that I elected to spring for a full gallon of a product that fell short of my original expectations.Posted on

AmazingThis lotion is amazing. It smells so great but is not overpowering. I wish it came with a few empty bottles so I could have one at work and in the kitchen and bedroom.

Best. Lotion. Ever.I'm so in love with this lotion. This is my 3rd purchase of the gallon container. It's a pretty reasonable price for a lotion I happily slather head to toe. No bad reactions, lots of moisture to keep me going here is the desert of Alberta.

Super, Wonderful - Love itI have been using this product - can you believe - for 21 years. I first picked up a small bottle while in New York at Saks for a treat. Well I have been using every since and of course I buy by the gallon now. I do use other creams but this is my every day body lotion. Love the smell and texture. I tend to have dry skin and this really works. Also have become super sensitive to fragrances but this is so natural and is not at all irritating . Great way to start my day.
